Dear Sam-
Your first month of life has been very eventful. Grandma Dittu and Mom-Mom have already come to visit you. I don't think you were awake most of the time, but they loved you anyway. And your dad and I have learned a lot about you:
You will deal with a poopy diaper but all hell will break loose if there is pee in there.
You are iffy on pacifiers, you prefer to suck on our little finger.
You like to be held, but only when and where you choose.
You need to be in constant motion...no seriously.
You refuse to acknowledge that we have a cat (in fairness, the cat isn't a huge fan of you either)
At the time of this post, you've just learned to smile. I wish I could capture a picture of it, but so far I can't tell when its going to happen. It could be when you see Mr Chicken on the playmat or when I talk to you on the changing pad. Either way, its easily the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I can't imagine loving you more than I do. I can't wait to see what next month has to offer.
Love,
Mom
